Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince Premiere

Not even all the magic in the world could help out the stars of last nights Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince premiere after a heavy downpour drenched the cast and the red carpet.

 

MTV News were down at the premiere (and a very wet one it was too!) to meet Daniel Radcliffe and Co to find out all about the penultimate film in the Harry Potter Series. 

 

Daniel, 19 said: "I think there's a much richer comic vein in this film than we've seen before, I think it's a really good film I hope everyone comes and sees it and enjoys it as they have the last five."

 

Radcliffe, who also took time to humour the situation by taking a swipe at Potter’s enemy Voldemort stating to The Mirror: “When you fight the most evil wizard of all he always finds a way to ruin the day.”

 

Daniel’s co-star Emma Watson aka Hermoine Granger had a slight wardrobe malfunction as she flashed her knickers whilst trying to battle the rain.

 

The actress later stated: “I’m by far the driest. It seems to have rained at every Harry Potter premiere.”

 

Watson, who recently became the new face of Brit fashion range Burberry also commented on what it’s like being the latest fashion icon: "It is a bit surprising to me I feel a bit like it's come out of nowhere…I love fashion and I have fun with it and I'm just myself really and it's nice."

 

Shame about the pant flashing Emma, what would Hermoine say!

 

Potter fave Rupert Grint, who has been recovering from Swine Flu but as if by magic, was back to full health at the premiere also gave us an insight into the film: "This one's kind of different it's got a lot of romance in it a lot of complicated relationships and it's really interesting I've enjoyed it.”

 

He revealed: “It's a good one for Ron because he joins a Quidditch team and he gets a girlfriend, there's a lot of new things for Ron, and it's a lot of fun."

 

Emma Watson added: "It was pretty hard (to do love-interest scenes) because Rupert is like my brother so it was very strange trying to do romantic scenes with him but we got there in the end."
