Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese look set to rekindle their magic in new gangster movie.

Between these two theres too much iconic celluloid to list but to name a few Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino. Yep, need I say more?

The film is set to be based on a book by Charles Brandt, a writer who overtly observed an Irish gun for hire named Frank The Irishman Sheeran.

During his time with Sheeran, Brandt learnt of a number of murders that Frank had carried out. One of the claimed hits was on gang boss Jimmy Hoffa and a number of his henchmen and this is what the film will focus in on.

The title of the proposed epic I Heard You Paint Houses refers to the blood left behind by a killing.

Scorsese, De Niro and his producing partner, Jane Rosenthal are set to produce the film but it may be some time before production is underway.
