American rapper/actor Ice Cube is planning to work with Dr. Dre once again for his forthcoming album, I Am The West.

The rapper said he wanted to work with the producer who was also previously in 90s rap group NWA with him. Cube left NWA in 1990 after falling out with the group’s manager, Jerry Heller, over royalty issues.

Ice Cube wrote on his blog: “I wanna answer a few questions you have for ya' boy - Beats by Dre? Not yet. Haven't asked him, but I will. Any collabos? Not yet.”

Ice also said the first single from the album, his first since 2008’s Raw Footage, will be called I Rep That West.

He also said that a reference to his roots on the US West Coast will have a political slant to it.

I Am The West is due for release this summer.
