James Arthur's smash hit single Impossible has shifted a cool one million UK sales.
The song, which is a cover of a Shontelle hit, is currently sitting at No.1 on the Official UK singles chart and has also been revealed as the fastest-selling song by a winner in the history of the ITV show.
Speaking of the success of James' debut track, Martin Talbot, the Official Charts Company’s Managing Director, noted: "Hitting the million mark in around a month is a fantastic achievement for James Arthur.
"X Factor winners often score strong first week sales, but to push through to the million mark so quickly is truly impressive."
The X Factor 2012 champion has more reasons to celebrate having also signed a record deal with Simon Cowell's label, Syco.
Arthur stated: "I am thrilled to be part of the Syco family, working with Simon and his team is exactly where I want to be. I can't wait to get into the studio to start work on my record!"
It's been a great week for the singer, who also picked up a nomination at The Brit Awards 2013 for Impossible in the British Song category.
