James Blunt Goes Hip Hop

Unlikely as sounds, the posh singer features on rapper Beanie Sigels new album

We never thought wed write this but James Blunt has made a hip hop track. Well sort of.

US rapper and protg of Jay Z Beanie Sigel has sampled the high pitched English crooner on a track from his new album.

The chorus and piano on Dear Self is taken from Blunts song Bravery- which was on his debut album Back To Bedlam.

James authorised Beanie Sigel to use the sample even though the rapper has a bad image- he was jailed in 2005 and shot twice in 2006. Sigel releases his new LP The Solution- also featuring Ozzy Osbourne and R.Kelly- this week in the States.

Whatever next- Paulo Nutini spitting verses with The Game? Clipse calling on James Morrison?
