Man Charged With Jay-Z And Beyonce Death Threats

A Detroit man who has been accused of sending death threats to rapper Jay-Z and wife Beyoncé has been arrested and charged by police.
Leon Desmond Barrett is reported to have sent more than a dozen threatening letters between December 2006 and April 2009 to the hip-hop couple.
It has also been alleged that Barrett also sent death threats to American football star Jerome Bettis.
One of his letters, dated 18th August 2007 reads: "I'm getting ready to start killing some more people. Beyonce, Jay-Z, Jerome Bettis and Tune-up Man are the first four people I'm getting ready to kill".
Despite denying the allegations, the 37 year old was charged this week with mailing threatening communications.
Jay-Z, who is gearing up for the release of his long-awaited album Blueprint 3 is also lined up to play on Jay Leno’s new comedy talk show on September 14th.
Kanye West and Rihanna are also appearing on the premiere show.
