Jigga rates The Blueprint…

12:17, Thursday, 3 December 2009

Jay-Z has said his classic album The Blueprint is the best record of the noughties.

The 2001 LP has been up there on many magazine and website lists recently released and the rapper seems to agree with the praise.

He said: “Do I have a favourite album of the decade? Oh man, let's see. That's very difficult. The Blueprint would be my favourite.”

However Jay did explain that aside from his own work he’d go for his mate Kanye West’s second disc.

He said: “Other than my album, maybe Graduation.”

So far in the Noughties round ups Uncut named The White StripesWhite Blood Cells as the best record, The Times went for Radiohead’s Kid A and NME plumped for The Strokes Is This It.
