Mayer to Blame for Simpson Split?

Jessica Simpson’s relationship with Tony Romo fell apart because of John Mayer, according to reports.

Following the couple’s split this week, the day before Jessica’s 29^th birthday, it has emerged that Romo dumped Simpson after finding text messages on her phone from Mayer – whose face she was sucking back in 2007. "They [Jessica and Tony] were hanging out and he picked up her phone and she got defensive about it,” an insider tells Radar Online.

“Tony found messages from John and went ballistic. He dumped her right then. He walked out and that was it."

Since the split, Romo has been snapped leaving Hollywood hot-spots on a boys’ night out.

Ladies-man John Mayer has previously had his filthy paws on Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Aniston. He also confused many Michael Jackson fans with his noodly guitar tribute to the King of Pop at last week’s memorial service.
