Jessie Wallace 'Given Three Months Off EastEnders'

Soap star claimed to still be struggling with fallout from calling off marriage...

Actress Jessie Wallace has been given a three-month leave of absence from EastEnders, reportedly to allow her to deal with the repercussions of her abandoned wedding last summer.

Jessie, 40, pulled the plug on her nuptials after her fiancé Vince Morse sent a sexy snap of her to his ex-GF - who promptly sold her story to a newspaper.

Although she went straight back to work, The Sun now claims that her busy schedule and the emotional baggage from the split have finally caught up with her.

A source told the paper: "She's been given three months off and no one can blame her for taking a break. Jessie's worked solidly since her wedding nightmare and had already come back early from what would have been her honeymoon.

"It was a very easy decision to make for the show. She is a great actress and extremely popular on set. She'll come back stronger than ever."

The show's plotlines have been rewritten to allow Jessie to take the time off, with her character Kat Moon leaving Walford to care for her sick father.
