JLS fans maybe in for a bit of a shock… Aston Merrygold has shaved off his hair.

The One Shot singer teased fans with the image of his new look on Twitter, showing off his newly shaven head half covered by a baseball cap.

The 22-year old, who shot to fame on X Factor, tweeted: "Back from holiday and already messed up my room!!! Whoops! Oh and shaved my hair off - but don't worry I'm growing it back."

Merrygold later confirmed that fans will be able to see his new look in all its glory on Friday when JLS are due to appear on Sport Relief 2010.

Posting on the group’s Twitter page, the singer who has been romantically linked with The Saturdays star Frankie Sandford added: “There's half of it, you will see it all off on Friday. Deffo growing it back though!"

Fans seemed less than pleased with his bald head, resulting in Aston having to reassure his hoard of admirers: “Hair grows back, don’t worry.”

In other JLS news, Leona Lewis has predicted that the fellow X Factor stars will be huge in America.

The Happy singer told The Daily Star: "JLS are really representing. I think they'll do well in America - they could even be in the running for a Grammy."

Rude Boy star Rihanna also believes the boys could be a hit in the US after confirming that she is to record with the Jack The Lad Swing lads this year.
