Jodie Foster has hurled a bag at the paparazzi for taking pictures of her with her new girlfriend.

The actress has been in the middle of media frenzy for some time after reportedly leaving long-term girlfriend Cydney Bernard for screenwriter Cynthia Mort.

TMZ yesterday posted footage of Jodie throwing a blue and white handbag in the face of a photographer before being driven away by her female companion.

The actress is said to have lost her temper as the photographers tried to catch her on camera sharing a car with a female thought to be new girlfriend Cynthia Mort.
