Justin Bieber For American Idol?

Justin Bieber will allegedly be performing on the current series of American Idol.

It is thought the 16-year old will sing live on Wednesday evenings result show -  rumoured to be the same episode as P Diddy and Bieber's mentor Usher.

The Love In This Club singer, who has championed Bieber for success right from the start has also recently descirbed his protégé as a prodigy in a recent interview with MTV News US.

Usher revealed what made him sign Bieber stating: "Number one was his voice. I felt like his voice was incredible. I feel he was very charismatic and that's what it takes to be able to handle what this is. It's the ability to turn it on and understand, but it was a very real ability. It was actually just him."

The R n B star, who awarded the Baby singer with a Range Rover for his 16th birthday also said of Justin: "If you ever met him, you'd understand exactly what I'm saying, the other side of it is just the fact that I felt like his story is yet to be told."

"I think we can go get him hit records or we can teach him how to dance or put him in front of some incredible lighting or put him in the right room and allow him to be himself."

He added: "But also just his musical talent - the fact that he taught himself to play guitar, the fact that he taught himself to play piano to the point where he can write and create his own songs. I told him: 'You're a prodigy'."

It seems like Usher isn't only Bieber's number 1 fan, reality TV star Kim Kardashian is trying to set him up with her half-sister Kendall.

Kim stated: "I think he is just the cutest thing. He seems like a really driven and focused kid, just like Kendall, and they would make an adorable couple."

She continued: "Although isn't he kind of short? Kendall might tower over him since she's taller than all of us!"

We are sure she wouldn't mind Kim...
