Justin Bieber Has Taken Paternity Test

Justin Bieber has reportedly taken a paternity test to prove he is not the father of fan Mariah Yeater's baby.

According to TMZ, the 17-year old visited a lab in New Jersey on Friday to take the DNA test, with the celebrity gossip website stating that it was taken under "very controlled circumstances."

The next step in the case now lies with Yeater, who is yet to supply a DNA sample from her son Tristyn - who she claims was conceived after a backstage romp with JB back in October 2010.

Bieber and his team have maintained that JB is not Tristyn's dad, with E! News claiming there is no timeframe for when Yeater must provide a DNA sample.

Despite the rumours, Justin and his girlfriend Selena Gomez put on a united front at the American Music Awards over the weekend, with Biebs previously telling our US Team: "As for as the whole baby situation, it's unfortunate that it had to happen like that."

He added: "People make false accusations, but things happen in this industry and you have to keep your head high and be positive."

Last week, it had been suggested that Yeater had dropped her paternity suit against Bieber, with her lawyer insisting it hasn't been entirely dismissed and that both camps are trying to sort the matter out of court.
