Katy Perry Works With Weezer

Indie band Weezer are working on Katy Perry’s second album.

 

It seems the I Kissed A Girl star is keen to take her new music in a rock direction and wants the group to help out.

 

Weezer singer Rivers Cuomo recently revealed: “We're writing together next week. Can't wait.”

 

Perry worked with pop writers and producers including Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Cathy Dennis on her first album

 

Katy recently talked about coming back with a more grown-up sound explaining: “I'm not trying to alienate my fans necessarily but 'One of the Boys' was written from 17 to 23 and now I'm 24 so my perspective on life has changed.”

 

Weezer- best known for hits like Buddy Holly, Hash Pipe and Islands In The Sun- are changing their own sound for their next disc.

 

The band have been working with Lil Wayne and producer Jermaine Dupri.
