Katy Perry Wants Marina And The Diamonds Duet

The California Gurls singer thinks Marina is 'talented & hot'...

Katy Perry has revealed that she wants to collaborate with MTV's Brand New: 10 For 10 nominee Marina And The Diamonds.

The I Kissed A Girl singer, who has recently enjoyed a stint as a guest judge on X Factor told The Daily Star that she was impressed with Marina's cover version of her hit single with 3OH!3, Starstrukk and would love a duet.

Perry told the newspaper: "I watched the stream of the performance online. I would love to collaborate with Marina,"

"I'm such a fan of new artists after going through that crazy hurricane of being one myself and, thankfully, surviving."

She added: "New artists that will make it out of the eye of the storm I love and Marina is definitely one of them - she's very talented, very smart and hot."

Meanwhile, Katy's number 1 smash hit single California Girls has broken radio records in the US after stations can't get enough of the summery tune.

According to Billboard.com, Perry logged 11,816 plays among the survey's 132 panelists for the week ending 27 June 2010 - that's an average of 90 plays per station.

Katy, who is set to wed Russell Brand later this year has now passed Ke$ha's 11,224 plays of TiK ToK in February and Lady GaGa, whose moster hit Bad Romance comes in third place on the radio play record list with 10,859 weekly plays.

Perry's pop anthem which features Snoop Dogg currently tops many single's charts from around the world, including here in the UK where it knocked Dizzee Rascal & James Corden's England World Cup song from poll position.
