Katy Perry denied reports that she criticised Miley Cyrus after seeing her perform at an award show earlier this month.

As we previously reported, Perry was accused of comparing Cyrus to Britney Spears and slamming her new raunchy image following her appearance at Canada's Much Music Video Awards.

However, the California Gurls singer has taken to Twitter, claiming she's never had a bad word to say about 17-year old Miley.

Perry tweeted: "Rumor control: I never said s*** bout my girl Miley. I love that ho."

She added: "Mags should stop pitting girls against each other. We all can co-exist!"
