Kid Cudi: “I Don't Get Any Fulfilment Out Of Rapping Anymore…”

The rapper takes up singing and guitar playing instead…

Rapper Kid Cudi has stated that he is slowly losing his love for rhyming and wants to focus his energy on singing and guitar playing instead of writing rap verses.

Cudi claims that singing is his newfound love and he longer sees the excitement in penning rap lyrics anymore.

He told MTV News US: "I don't get any fulfilment out of rapping anymore. Like, I really don't get any fulfilment out of writing a 16 bars. That's why you don't really hear me on Kanye West's joints like that. It's for two reasons. I'm just not going to be rapping on Ye records and getting bodied all the time and number two, I'm just not passionate about it. I'm more passionate when he's like, 'Yo Cudi, come up with a hook or something,' because he asks me to put verses down and sh*t and I'll try to procrastinate or disappear.

“I just get more fulfilment out of singing now and learning the guitar. That's like my newfound love. I just never thought I could play an instrument and surprised myself. It's been two and a half months I've been playing. I'm already starting my next album, it's a rock album."
