K Stew Talks About New Look

The star has red-ish hair for a reason…

Kristen Stewart has unveiled a new hair-do at a screening of Twilight: Eclipse in New York.

The star has caused a stir by changing her hair colour and losing her ‘goth’ image this week.

But speaking to MTV News the actress explained that there is a point to the new look. She said: "It's kind of blond right now. Like, reddish brown. I'm doing it for 'On the Road.’”

Stewart will star as Marylou in an adaption of the classic 50s novel which starts shooting soon.

The lead role of Dean Moriaty will be played by Garrett Hedlund- who was praised by Kristen.

“I've met him a bunch of times, and I've hung out with him twice," she said "He's a great guy. He's super into it… He's, like, so in character, and he's driving to Montreal. He's awesome. I'm really, really excited.”

On Monday night K Stew wore a short black and silver dress to film the late show with David Letterman prompting suggestions that she’s going for a whole new look.

Eclipse is released on July 9 in the UK. Today Kristen and her co-star Robert Pattinson were both named in Forbes' most powerful celebs list.
