Labrinth: "I'd Put Justin Bieber On A Dub-Step Tune"

Labrinth may be one of our Brand New For 2011 nominees, but the songwriter/producer has told MTV UK exclusively his views on last year's champion, Justin Bieber.

When we asked the Let The Sun Shine singer if he was a fan of Justin's, Labrinth revealed: "No, I'm not a little girl. I think he's great but I am not 12-year's old and I am not a girl."

Seeing as he has worked with the likes of Tinie Tempah and Professor Green, we just had to ask whether a collaboration with Bieber would be on the cards, to which Labrinth replied: "I’d put him on a dub-step tune."

The 21-year old continued: "He needs to get on something gritty man! Scare the little girls a little bit."

While the Frisky star dreams up a 'scary' duet with Justin, Labrinth also revealed that despite going head-to-head with fellow Brand New For 2011 nominee, Jessie J, he is hoping to work with the Do It Like A Dude singer in the near future.

He revealed: "I've sent a track to her label. Just tell her to get back to me about it!"

The singer also claimed that he does not see any of his fellow Brand New nominees as competition, adding: "We are not competing man. We’re all part of this British movement. I don’t think I’m gonna ever lose!"

"I am a fan of everyone on the list. Specifically, Jessie J, Wretch 32, Willow Smith - you’ve got to love her."

He added: "The Ruff Diamondz girls came down to my studio ages ago with their manager. I really loved what they had to deliver, so, I want to work with them."
