Labrinth Reveals All About His Brand New Single!

EXCLUSIVE | Lab says 'Earthquake' is not what you're expecting...

Labrinth has exclusively told MTV.co.uk all about his new single Earthquake, stating that it's the "total opposite" to his debut track, Let The Sun Shine.

After working with the likes of Professor Green, Tinie Tempah and more recently, Gary Barlow on this year's Children In Need single, Labrinth is back with a bang and is about to start the journey to establish himself as an artist in his own right.

When asked about his second single, Lab told us: "I recently filmed the video for my brand new song, Earthquake – which should be out in October – and all I can say just now is that it's the total opposite to Let The Sun Shine."

"Earthquake is a hip-hoppy, hooky song with a Super Nintendo influence and a lot of energy! I really can't wait to perform it for you all, and I hope you appreciate that I didn't just do the same thing I did last time."

The talented 22-year old then teased: "I can't tell you about my outfit for the video yet, I'm afraid, but all I can say is that it is extreme!"

Lab - real name Timothy McKenzie - then admitted he hopes his music can attract a wide range of fans, explaining: "I want to be a real artist with a whole host of influences. I don't wanna be a pop artist wrapped in tinsel; shiny but with no substance behind it."

"A lot of artists move so fast nowadays, like Rihanna, with three albums in two years. But the songs don't last long, they come and go. "

He added: "I hope that my skills get what they deserve and that I'm here to stay. I'm having fun and making music and, most importantly, it's been an honest development."
