Liam Gallagher, recently voted Q Magazine’s 'Greatest Front Man of All Time', has boosted that his new band Beady Eye will be bigger than Oasis, who have sold around 70m records worldwide.

Beady Eye, which consists of former Oasis members (minus songwriter and mastermind Noel Gallagher), are said to be around three quarters of the way through recording their debut album. The first single is expected in October.

Speaking to the Sunday Times, Liam said, “Oasis was a pop band compared to what we’re doing.” Never one to belittle his own talent, he also said, “I’ve never sounded better. It’s proper rock’n’roll.”

When asked if he is still in contact with his brother, Liam, who now fronts his own clothing range, replied in the negative, “It’s done and dusted. He’s living his life, I’m living mine. I hope he’s happy in what he does and I’m happy in what I do.”

Earlier this month, Liam stated that if John Lennon were to sing an Oasis song, it would be I’m Outta Time from their 2008 album Dig Out Your Soul... which happens to be one of the few Oasis singles written by Liam. Why? Because, in his own words, “It’s the b*****ks”.
