Lil Kim Party Murderer Sentenced to 20 Years

In August 2008 a 24-year-old woman by the name of Ingrid Rivera was shot dead at a Manhattan Nightclub which was hosting a birthday party for rap star Lil Kim.

It’s taken nearly two years to find the killer and a man by the name of Syed Rahman was recently found guilty of murder and has now been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

30 friends and family of Ingrid Rivera filled the Manhattan criminal court room to witness the sentencing of  her killer, reports The New York Times.

Before the judge sentenced Mr. Rahman, 26, he read from a prepared statement.

“I want to express my deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Ingrid Rivera,” he said. “I know that I have caused them a tremendous amount of pain and suffering. I want them to know how much I regret what I did.”
