Lil Wayne Confirms Rock Album

Its really happening. Weezys new record Rebirth will have guitars all over it

Lil Wayne has told MTV that his next album will be a rock project titled Rebirth- to be released April 7.

Various reports have recently claimed that the unpredictable rapper would turn his back on hip hop and it seems true! A rep told our US colleagues that the album has nothing to do with the forthcoming Tha Carter IV which will be a hip hop record.

The first single from Rebirth called Prom Queen leaked to the internet this weekend and will be on Waynes Myspace tomorrow (Jan 27).

The controversial figure told us in October: This is something brand new, so we don't want it to be some experimental thing, 'cause some people are not gonna like this. I don't want them to not like Tha Carter IV.
