Lily Allen wed Sam Cooper on 11 June in Cranham, Gloucestershire, and thrilled family and friends at the reception by announcing she was four months pregnant.

The News of the World reports that it was Lily’s new husband who made the announcement in front of 300 guests at the reception in the garden of their home in Stroud.

Earlier in the day, the Smile singer had waved to onlookers as she walked into the village church in Cranham accompanied by her father Keith Allen. She wore a vintage-style wedding dress which was loose-fitting around the middle to hide her baby bulge.

The dress’s French designer, Delphine Manivet, said the star’s bump looked “cute” in the gown. “It’s beautiful that she is pregnant, and I am very happy for her. She is very happy about that – it is something wonderful,” she said.

“You can see, of course, the little stomach – it looked very cute with the dress.”

Wedding guests included Harry Enfield and Angus Deayton; Lily’s best mate Miquita Oliver was a bridesmaid.

As previously reported on MTV, the newlyweds plan to honeymoon at the Glastonbury Festival before heading overseas for a more private holiday.
