Among those now able to play on the beach are Pharrell Williams and Macy Gray.

Washington has been added to the cities hosting Live Earth concerts by organisers.

In other Live Earth news Madonna has invited crazy gypsy punks Gogol Bordello to headline with her at Wembley.

The ramshackle group were one of the undoubted highlights of last months Glastonbury festival. Now Madge- more used to having keyboard wizards behind her- will play with frontman Eugene and Sergey from the band.

Gogol Bordello have cancelled their T In The Park gig which was also due to take place tomorrow.

The Star newspaper today says that Justin Timberlake will not appear at the London leg of Live Earth despite being in the country.

JT is currently touring the UK and has been recording tracks for Madonnas new album but the tab says he cant make it.

Rumours said hed come on with producer Timbaland during Madonna or Duran Durans performance.
