The Brazilian police have bee threatening to close down the Rio Live Earth gig, on the grounds that they dont think they could cope with the 700,000 people expected to turn up on Copacabana Beach today.

Thats right folks, the police werent just being Grinchy, they were expecting 4 Glastonburys or almost 8 Wembley Stadium capacity crowds turn up on a beach in Rio, ready to rock off with Lenny Kravitz and Macey Gray.

Having reviewed the situation, however, the local authorities have said what the Hell! " or, to quote the Live Earth Communications Director more exactly, We met with authorities and addressed their concerns, and the concert will continue as planned."
