Loick Essien: "I Like That Rihanna Is A Bit Naughty"

Loick Essien has exclusively told MTV.co.uk that he's "intrigued" by Rihanna, stating he finds her "a bit naughty."

The R&B singer, who is gearing up to release his new single Me Without You on Sunday, claims to be a massive fan of of the Bajan babe because she's one of a kind.

Speaking about RiRi, Loick gushed: "There’s no-one else like her. She’s very successful and I like the fact that she’s a bit naughty. That’s what kind of attracts me to her as well, and keeps me intrigued on what she’s going to do next."

The 21-year old explained: "I feel like it’s so typical for a girl to have to be a certain way...and being young there’s a lot of rebellious young teens – which is maybe not the best example – but then again I feel like she’s comfortable in her skin and she’s just doing what she wants to do. That’s the image that she gives me."

As  well as talking about Rihanna, Essien revealed that he hopes his new single Me Without You emulates the success of his previous track, How We Roll, stating: "I would like it to! On my album there were so many strong songs and it was hard to pick. The album took three years to make and there are lots of songs that I could have put out."

He added: "But I feel like Me Without You definitely connects with me, and hopefully connects with the fans, and hopefully it does even better."

Loick Essien's Me Without You is out on Sunday, 6th November.
