Hoard of stars lined up for UN's International Day of Peace album...

Mick Jagger, Nas and Joss Stone have come together to work on an album for the United Nations

The LP, which will be released on the UN’s International Day of Peace, also features reggae legend Bob Marley’s sons Damian and Stephen as well as Slumdog Millionaire composer A.R. Rahman.

Rolling Stones front-man Jagger has already collaborated with Joss on the soundtrack to the Jude Law remake of the classic Alfie in 2004.

A source told The Sun: “When this project was suggested they were keen to get on board, especially considering the glittering cast of other musicians involved.

The artists are currently working on the album in L.A but U2 front-man Bono is also said to be involved in the project but is laying his vocals down for the tracks seperately.

The source continued: “It’s incredibly challenging to get so many figures in the studio at a time that’s agreeable to everyone. Damian’s a night-owl whereas Mick likes to hit the studio in the morning. They eventually reached a compromise…”

That's good to hear considering the album is out 21st September and we can’t wait to hear it!
