BRIT-nominated Mika braved the January night air on Monday with a live gig outside the London Eye to launch Fiats new 500 model.

Guest spots by London five-piece The Vibrants and The Feeling warmed the crowd of VIPs and competition winners, including uber-model Eva Herzogova, gathered to celebrate the launch of the new 500 " an update on the much-loved motoring icon the cinquecento.

The flamboyant one was in good voice and joked with the crowd as one of the new models was launched inside an Eye pod and sent circling the sky at exactly 500 hours into 2008.
