Miley Cyrus has revealed that country singer Dolly Parton is the 'nicest person in the world'.

The Climb singer, who became a household name playing Disney's Hannah Montana is bound to say nice things about Parton - she is the 17 year old's godmother.

Speaking of how close they are, Cyrus told Parade: "She is the nicest person in the world. She's so easy to talk to. She's awesome. I love her."

The tween star added: "She always tells me just to do what I love and if I'm not having fun it's not working."

"I don't know how old she is at this point but every time she is on the stage she is smiling from ear to ear."

Miley then compared the country western star to Telephone singer Lady GaGa saying: "She gets it. She knows exactly what she's doing."

"It's like Dolly Parton. Dolly plays up that I'm-a-cute-dumb-blond but, believe me, she's not dumb. She's sitting on a ba-jillion dollars."

Cyrus who has played character Hannah Montana since the age of 12 is reportedly 'looking forward to saying goodbye' to the TV show that made her famous.

She stated: "I'm going to rejoice and be happy to finally not have to be somebody i'm not…i've grown out of it."
