MOBO Awards To Be Held In Scotland

The MOBO awards are coming to Scotland for the first time since the prestigious event began way back in 1996.

It will be the only time the ceremony has been held outside London and will take place at Glasgow’s SECC on September 30^th.

R n B star Lemar and X-Factor finalists JLS joined forces in Scotland to make the announcement that the MOBO’s will be leaving their native London and travelling north.

Lemar, who has performed at the SECC as part of his current UK tour said: “Bringing the MOBO awards here to Glasgow, a city with such a strong and vibrant music scene is the perfect fit. Undoubtedly this year’s MOBO Awards will be an outstanding event.”

JB from group JLS who are supporting Lemar on tour added: “Glasgow will make an exciting backdrop for this year’s MOBOs and Scotland is an amazing destination to perform. We’re looking forward to spending more time here on tour.”
