The Batman star is not badly injured after his weekend car crash

Morgan Freeman is set to make a good recovery after his serious car crash on Sunday- his publicist has announced.

The Dark Knight star broke his arm and elbow in an accident on Sunday where his car overturned near his home in Mississippi.

Freemans spokesman said: "He is having a little bit of surgery this afternoon or tomorrow to help correct the damage, He says he'll be OK and is looking forward to a full recovery."

Police have said that the 71 year old star was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the crash happened but he may have fell asleep at the wheel.

Reports say there was stormy weather and bad driving conditions on Sunday night.
