Nicki Minaj Talks About Being Gay In Hip-Hop

Nicki Minaj is one of the most talked about artists over in the U.S and is tipped to have the same appeal that Lil Kim had back in the days when female rap was rare.

But Nicki Minaj isn’t like any other female rapper, her outfits and Barbie persona has put this lady on different level. She is also possibly the first openly bi-sexual female rapper to gain any form of credible status, as she told Details Magazine in a recent interview.

Nicki Minaj said: "I think the world is getting more gay-friendly, so hip-hop is too. But it's harder to imagine an openly gay male rapper being embraced. People view gay men as having no street credibility. But I think we'll see one in my lifetime.”

The Young Money recording artist was due to go on tour with Rihanna but pulled out on the last minute claiming  that she wanted to focus on her album before committing to going on a long tour.
