OutKast have emerged as the big winners of the 2004 MTV Europe Music Awards.

The all conquering hip-hop act added to their awards shelf by picking up Best Song (for 'Hey Ya'), Best Group and Best Video (also 'Hey Ya').

Other big winners were Usher, who picked up Best Male and Best Album ('Confessions'), and Muse who scalped Best Alternative Act and Best UK & Ireland Act.

Best Male: Usher
Best Female: Britney Spears
Best UK & Ireland Act: Muse
Best New Act: Maroon 5
Best Alternative: Muse
Best Album: Usher 'Confessions'
Best Rock: Linkin Park
Best R&B: Alicia Keys
Best Pop: Black Eyed Peas
Best Song: OutKast 'Hey Ya'
Best Hip-hop: D12
Best Video: OutKast 'Hey Ya'
Free Your Mind: La Strada
