Former American Idol judge Paula Abdul has announced that she is to host VH1 Divas on September 17th.
After leaving Idol earlier this month, Abdul has been linked to shows such as Dancing With The Stars and Ugly Betty but it now seems she has landed her first post-American Idol gig.
The Grammy-award winning singer made the announcement yesterday via social networking site Twitter writing: “Hi guys! im really excited 2 announce ill be hosting this year's "VH1 Divas"! The show will be live on Sept 17th @ 9 pm EST."
VH1 Diva’s has seen many legends grace its stage since it started way back in 1998 including Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, Cher, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston and Beyoncé.
Abdul, who officially quit the hit US talent show on 4th August to the shock of many Idol fans, has since been replaced by guest judge Victoria Beckham.
It has also been claimed that a series of rotating guest judges such as Katy Perry, Joe Jonas and Mary J.Blige are set to take her seat on America’s most notorious judging panel.
