Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal Engaged?

Are the Legally Blonde and Donnie Darko stars getting hitched?

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are denying tabloid reports that they are engaged.

A representative for Witherspoon, 32 and Gyllenhaal, 27 told People Magazine that "They are not engaged or getting married" and called the reports "lies."

The Hollywood couple began dating after Witherspoon's seven-year marriage to Cruel Intentions co-star Ryan Phillippe fell apart.

The pair broke up in 2006 after Reese won The Best Actress Oscar for her performance as June Carter Cash in Walk the Line.

Gyllenhaal and Witherspoon began dating in April 2007 but have chosen to not speak publicly about their relationship.

They were recently seen together in Paris with Witherspoon's kids, Eva, 8, and Deacon, 4.

Last week, Life & Style magazine claimed that Gyllenhaal, who is currently filming new movie, Prince of Persia, was discussing having children with the Legally Blonde star.
