The 80's singer is alive and well after internet hoaxes suggest he had passed away...

Michael Jackson’s death has sparked hysteria on the internet with many hoaxes claiming that Britney Spears, George Clooney, Miley Cyrus and even 80’s pop star Rick Astley have all died.

Actress Natalie Portman, Harrison Ford, Ellen De Generes and Jeff Goldblum have also been reported as dead despite confirming through various media outlets including ABC News that they are alive and well.

The reports suggesting that Rick Astley had died swept across the internet last night.

The 43 year old singer, who gained fame through hit Never Gonna Give You Up was just the victim of a hoax which caused online fans to fall victim to the practice of ‘Rickrolling’.

Rickrolling is where fans click on a link suggesting the singer had died, only to be redirected to his music video instead of an official report from a reliable source into his supposed ‘death’.

It just proves you can’t always believe what you read on the web.
