Rihanna's fans are sure that her new track with Eminem, Love The Way You Lie is about her abusive ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

As we previously reported, Brown has refused to talk about the promo which stars Megan Fox and Lost actor Dominic Monagahan as a feuding couple, using the sensitive topic of domestic violence as the key theme for the video.

Following RiRi's concert in New York last night, the singer's followers believe the Barbadian beauty drew from her own personal experiences when laying her vocals down for the collaboration.

Speaking of the powerful Joseph Kahn directed clip, one fan told our US team: "I would say it's like the Chris Brown situation, just because ... they go from hating each other then loving each other then back to hating each other and all this stuff,"

Another claimed: "She's just talking about ... hurt, but she loves the way he's hurting her. In that relationship ... she was abused by him. So it's little hints in the song that [sound] like it's referring to Chris Brown. I think it is. I don't care what anyone says."

Despite Kahn dismissing reports that the video was based on RiRi and Em's abusive relationships, the Rude Boy star's fans are not convinced.

One other RiRi fan added: "I thought it was interesting how [Rihanna] and Eminem compared the way their lives were. Since what happened with Chris Brown, it showed that people shouldn't do that to women."

They continued: "I think it depicted [the relationship] in a way that's honest and truthful like any other relationship would be,"
