Rihanna has claimed the longest running number 1 single for over a decade with her Umbrella smash hit.

Wet Wet Wet were the last group to score such a lengthy top selling single with their Love Is All Around in 1994.

Elsewhere on the singles chart Black Eyed Pea Fergie got to number two with her slushy Big Girls Dont Cry (personally we preferred The Cure version).

Timbalands strangely titled The Way I Are went straight in at 4 on its first week of release.
