'Crazed' Robert Pattinson Fan Tackled To The Ground

After he tried to charge at Rob outside the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studios...

Robert Pattinson's bodyguards were forced to act outside a television studio last night, after crazed man appeared to charge at the actor.

According to WENN, the Twilight hunk narrowly avoided a security crisis when he leaving the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studio, after an "angry" unidentified male fan surged towards R-Pattz.

Security officers acted quickly, intercepting the man and tackling him to the ground before he was able to reach Pattinson, preventing the 25-year old star from being hurt.

R-Pattz reportedly remained calm during the incident, and went back outside the venue to greet his Twihard fans. He was then quickly ushered away from the scene to a waiting car.

Rob was appearing on Kimmel's show to promote the forthcoming Twilight flick, Breaking Dawn - Part 1, which is due for release on 18th November,
