Ronan Keating ‘Accepts Marriage Is Over’

Ronan Keating seems to have accepted his marriage won’t recover after it was revealed back in May that he had cheated on wife Yvonne.

The couple separated after Ronan admitted a seven-month affair with a Boyzone backing dancer, Francine Cornell. But they appeared to be patching things up when Yvonne and their kids moved to Australia over the summer, where Ronan is based working on the Aussie version of X Factor.

However a friend has since told Now magazine that the reconciliation isn’t working. “Neither of them wanted things to end this way, but Yvonne simply can't forgive and forget. The betrayal goes much deeper than Ronan just sleeping with someone else,” the source said.

“He and Francine talked about getting married and starting a new life together. He broke Yvonne's heart and while they've both worked hard at trying to fix things, it's just been an impossible task.”

The couple have gone so far as to reissue a statement they first released in May, confirming they are still separated.

Ronan and Yvonne have been married for 12 years and have three children, Jack, 11, Missy, nine, and Ali, five.
