Rooney Mara Gets Lead Role In Dragon Tattoo

Relatively unknown actress Rooney Mara has been handed the lead role in the US remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
Names linked with the character of Lisbeth Salander had included Twilight’s Kristen Stewart, Harry Potter star Emma Watson and Brit Carey Mulligan.
Fight Club and Seven man David Fincher will direct Rooney in the movie, which is adapted from Stieg Larsson’s massive-selling novel.
Daniel Craig is also confirmed for the thriller playing journalist Mikael Blomkvist.
25 year old Mara appeared in Michael Cera flick Youth In Revolt and also has a role in Fincher’s upcoming Facebook film The Social Network.
A Swedish film of the book has already been released.
