Russell Brand Posts Naked Picture On Twitter

The funnyman is seen with only his new book & a banana in the snap...

Russell Brand has posted a naked picture of himself on Twitter, with only his new book to protect his modesty.

The comedian, is seen in the snap posing with the next installment of his autobiography, Booky Wooky 2: This Time It's Personal, leaning on a fireplace and eating a banana.

Brand's nude pic was accompanied with the caption: "'Erotic literature? #bookywook2 - this time it's personal. Tomorrow."

Katy Perry's future hubby then joked with his followers on the social networking site, tweeting that the book in the picture: "was destroyed for hygiene reasons."

It is thought that Brand's naked snap was a ploy to get publicity for his book, which hits shops tomorrow.

Russell's new autobiography will pick up from where his first book left off as it investigates his life as a sober man under the showbiz spotlight.

Brand will be appearing at London's Hackney Empire tomorrow, along with Jonathan Ross, who will be interviewing the funnyman live on stage about his latest publication.
