Scissor Sisters: “We’re Not Rock and Roll”

No 1 band Scissor Sisters have confessed to MTV they prefer early nights to clubbing.

People ask us, Oh you guys are a big party band? The tour bus (must be) just like total rock and roll excess? And its not, frontman Jake Shears admitted.

Were really good as a band, for the most part, taking care of ourselves. Weve got to get enough sleep every night.

And youve got to eat at least three meals a day. Those things are so important in keeping any resemblance of sanity.

Even pre-show tipples are out of the question, it seems.

We have to stay in pretty good form you know, glam sidekick Ana Matronic added. We cant get drunk before a show and really keep it together and perform at the level people are used to seeing us perform at.
