Slipknot bassist Paul Gray died of an accidental overdose, according to an official autopsy.
A toxicology report found a high level of morphine and morphine substitute fentany in the rocker’s body.
Police say there was no evidence that either drug was prescribed by doctors.
Gray was found dead in a hotel room in Des Moines, Iowa on May 24. Reports also claimed there were pills and needles around him.
After he died Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor appeared at an emotional press conference and said: “We lost our brother and the world seems a little smaller because of it.
“He had the biggest heart of anyone I've ever known. The only way I can sum up Paul Gray is love.”
