Game On For Spike TV's Video Game Awards

Spike TV's Video Game Awards take place this weekend and you can watch them exclusively live online as they happen from 1:00AM GMT on December 11, only at www.ginx.tv.

The annual awards pay tribute to the outstanding achievements of games designers, animation, breakthrough technology, music and performances of the past year. Since their inception, the awards have quickly become the most prestigious ceremony in the gaming industry.

Leading the way with 12 nominations at the 2011 VGAs is Portal 2, with  Batman: Arkham City gaining 10 nominations, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and Bastion receiving 9 and 5 nods respectively.

As well as the star-studded award ceremony, the VGAs also provide a glimpse at the future of gaming, including exclusive sneak peeks and world premiere footage of some of the most anticipated games from the years to come.

The ceremony, which is hosted by Zac Levi, will feature performances from  The Black Keys and Deadmau5, and includes the likes of LL Cool J, Seth Green and Seann William Scott amongst the presenters.
