Death Row co-founder accused of assaulting girlfriend

Death Row co-founder Marion "Suge" Knight has been arrested on assault and drug charges.

Las Vegas police said the 43-year-old was accused of beating his girlfriend while brandishing a knife.

Knight was also charged with being in possession of ecstasy and the prescription narcotic Hydrocodone, police said in a statement.

Knight was taken to Clark County Detention Center.Knight and is expected to be released on bail shortly; the music mogul is scheduled to appear in court on 26 September.

The unnamed woman was not stabbed but was taken to hospital and treated for injuries.
