Not only did fans of American Football get a treat last night at Super Bowl XLIV but so did movie and music fans!
Seven film trailers were shown during the ad breaks in the US including promos for the new version of
Robin Hood starring
Russell Crowe and
Alice In Wonderland.
Also played on US networks were new promos for
Jake Gyllenhaal epic
Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time and Martin Scorsese’s new flick
Shutter Island.
In the main event the New Orleans Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 to win their first ever Super Bowl. Quarterback Drew Brees picked up the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
American Idol star
Carrie Underwood earlier kicked off proceedings by belting out the national anthem around Miami’s Sun Life stadium.
The half time show saw

Pinball Wizard.
