Susan Boyle Sets Chart Record

Susan Boyle's album went straight to number one yesterday selling an incredible 410,000 copies in just one week.

Her I Dreamed A Dream record is now the best selling debut in UK chart history, ahead of Arctic Monkeys and Leona Lewis.

This week the Scot beat pop heavy hitters including Rihanna, JLS and Leona to top the chart.

In the singles countdown Peter Kay’s Animated All Star Band went to number one with their Children In Need track.

Boyle’s single Wild Horses went to number nine while Rihanna’s Russian Roulette went to six.
