Iron Man Premiere

The red and gold superhero flies into London but Gwyneth steals the show..

This summer, whether its Batman, Hulk or Hellboy, the superheroes are soaring into cinemas once again. First out of the gate and fresh to the genre, is the silver screen debut of the Marvel maestro Iron Man.

MTV News joined Iron Man himself Robert Downey Jnr, director Jon Favreau, and co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Terence Howard on the red carpet. Its like working with an absolute genius Terence said, of Hollywood bad-boy Robert. "As an actor you gravitate towards that. I dont have to act when Im around him - I just have to keep up with him! Gwyneth and her remarkable legs" 

Downey Jnr is obviously proud of the finished product: Im super-proud. "Jon banked on me and I banked on him. Im pleased you guys liked it because I can tell when youre just sticking the mic in my face but really think the movie sucks!"

Finally we asked if he would be signing up for a sequel? "Yeah sure. Wouldnt you?"
